CITY OF SHEBOYGAN UPTOWN SOCIAL COMMUNITY CENTER FIBER OPTIC EXTENSION Bids will be received by the City of Sheboygan Purchasing Agent until 1:00 p.m. Local Time, Thursday June 23, 2022 for the complete installation and commissioning of a fiber optic communications extension to service the new Uptown Social Community Center located at 1817 North 8th Street, Sheboygan WI, 53081 In order to be considered, Sealed bids on approved forms, are to be received no later than the date and time above in the office of the Purchasing Agent, City of Sheboygan City Hall, 828 Center Avenue, Sheboygan, WI 53081. A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Thursday June 16, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM local time at Uptown Social, 1817 North 8th Street, Sheboygan WI, 53081. The purpose of this meeting will be to inspect the interior routing of the cable. This is an active construction site so attendees will be required to furnish their own hard hats and safety glasses. Bidders are welcome to tour the balance of the fiber route on their own either prior to or following the meeting. A single contract will be awarded to include all facets of the project in accordance with the specifications including underground directional boring and installation of related facilities, connection and installation of the fiber into and within the building proper and testing and certification of the new fiber extension. CITY OF TWO RIVERS NOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 6th day of June, 2022 the City Council of the City of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, enacted an Ordinance creating Chapter 13 of Article 6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Two Rivers, regarding the Licensing of Short-Term Rentals in the City. A Short Term Rental is defined by the Ordinance as: "A residential dwelling unit that is offered for rent for a fee with a rental term of fewer than 30 consecutive days, as defined in Wis. Stats. § 66.0615(1)(dk)." The Ordinance provides that no person shall maintain, manage or operate a Short-Term Rental more than ten nights a year without a license issued by the City of Two Rivers. The license is obtained by filing an application with the City Clerk by the property owner and, if applicable, the property manager. An investigation of the statements made in the application will be performed by the City's Chief of Police. The applicant must provide a copy of a completed Manitowoc County Tourist Rooming House License with a copy of the property inspection report dated within one year of the date of filing the application with the City Clerk. The license shall be effective for one year and may be renewed for additional one-year periods. The annual license term will be from January 1 to December 31 of each year. A fully completed renewal application and renewal fee must be filed with the City Clerk b yDecember 1 of each year if the short-term rental will be continued. Standards for Short-Term Rentals are imposed related to parking, noise levels, signage, insurance and use of the premises as set forth in the Ordinance. The Ordinance defines circumstances in which a license may be revoked by the City Council. A procedure for review of the denial of a license or renewal by the City Council is set forth in the Ordinance. A fee to be imposed must accompany the application for an ordinance.
